Project news
The STEAM project team recently held a successful kick-off meeting in Ruse, starting a journey toward empowering girls in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) fields. Representatives from Little Smiles, Youthfully Yours SK, and the Nikola Obretenov Primary School met to outline project cooperation and develop a strategy for successful project implementation.
During the meeting, partners discussed their roles and responsibilities, emphasizing the importance of collaboration and innovative approaches to reach our shared vision. Each partner presented their expertise and how they will contribute to project objectives. Discussions focused on integrating arts and sports with STEM education to create engaging and inclusive learning experiences for girls.
The kick-off meeting in Ruse was crucial for building a cohesive and effective partnership. With a clear strategy and strong collaboration, the STEAM project is well-positioned to empower the next generation of girls in STEAM fields.
Stay tuned for more updates as we continue this initiative!

LTTA in Košice, Slovakia
Between October 14th and 17th, we met with our partners in Košice during the LTTA meeting as part of the Female STEAM Mindset project. During the event, we focused on connecting science with sports, transforming biological concepts into art, and applying robotics through hands-on activities. We exchanged ideas, reviewed feedback, and refined educational content to ensure its inclusivity and effectiveness. Thanks to everyone's contributions, the meeting was productive and helped prepare the tools needed to support students and teachers in exploring STEAM subjects.

Pilot testing with teachers and students
As part of the project, we successfully organized pilot tests in Slovakia and Bulgaria that brought teachers and students together to explore the integration of STEM subjects with creativity and arts. Over two days, teachers guided students through hands-on activities designed to spark curiosity and innovation. The pilot project highlighted how combining science, technology, engineering, and mathematics with artistic expression can create a more inclusive learning environment, enabling all students to excel in fields where they are often underrepresented. This progress was made possible through the collaboration of teachers, students, and partners, making this pilot an important step in promoting comprehensive STEAM thinking.

Student mobility in Bulgaria
Following the pilot testing, we organized a mobility event in Bulgaria that brought together students from Slovakia and Bulgaria for a hands-on STEAM experience. The event focused on collaborative, practical activities where students applied their knowledge and worked with peers from different backgrounds. This experience emphasized teamwork, problem-solving, and the practical application of STEAM subjects. It also provided students with the opportunity to strengthen their understanding and build relationships in a collaborative learning environment.

Multiplier events
In February, STEAM project partners organized multiplier events to share the project results with teachers, educational experts, and stakeholders. During these events, the project team presented the developed educational materials and STEAM methodology, discussed best practices, and demonstrated how the resources could be applied in schools. The events helped promote the project's results, encourage their practical use, and strengthen collaboration with the wider educational community.
This project is supported by the Erasmus+ programme.
