ARTS (Adolescents Resilience Through Self-expression)

About the project

ARTS (Adolescents Resilience Through Self-expression) is an Erasmus+ project that aims to empower young people (aged 15-18) by supporting emotional resilience, self-awareness, and self-expression through creative activities such as art, music, and theatre. The project uses art therapy methods to equip youth with tools for managing life challenges, social pressures, and personal growth. By integrating peer learning, interactive workshops, and digital resources, ARTS provides young people with a platform for self-expression in a supportive and safe environment.

Vision

Our vision is to create a world where every young person can freely express themselves, build emotional resilience, and lead positive change in their communities through creativity. ARTS strives to provide youth with the necessary resources to confidently handle life challenges while fostering an inclusive and non-judgmental environment.

Why ARTS?

In today's world, young people face various pressures that affect their mental well-being, from social media to academic expectations. However, many traditional approaches to addressing mental health among young people do not prioritize creative outlets. ARTS fills this gap by using the power of creative expression to build self-esteem and provide emotional release. Arts-based activities offer young people a unique way to process complex emotions and feel heard in a world that often focuses on academic or professional achievements.

Challenges and our approach

Challenge: Many young people experience emotional issues but lack healthy options for self-expression.
Solution: ARTS incorporates art therapy techniques to enable young people to express their emotions through drawing, theatre, music, and other creative forms.

Challenge: Youth workers may lack resources or training to effectively address emotional well-being.
Solution: ARTS provides comprehensive workshop toolkits, digital platforms, and training resources to support youth workers in using creative methods to improve emotional growth and resilience.
