YE Find Your Voice

YE Find Your Voice
The project Find Your Voice, Know Your Story took place in Latvia, near the city of Jelgava, from August 10th to 17th.
The first day was dedicated to teambuilding – we got to know each other through various activities and games, but honestly, our attention sometimes drifted to our neighbors: alpacas, rabbits, and one exceptionally cuddly cat.
The goal of the project was to learn artistic expression, try various forms of creation, and bravely share our thoughts with others. We focused on story writing, drawing, breathing techniques, public speaking, active listening, conversations, and many other activities that pushed us out of our comfort zones.
Alongside intensive workshops, we also ventured to Riga – we visited the Museum of Occupation and then everyone had the opportunity to spend the day as they wished. Some explored other museums, galleries, and the national library, while others enjoyed the historical architecture or relaxed on the beach. And a few of us managed to pop over to Jelgava – either to work on final projects or just to soak in the city's atmosphere.

From Tuesday to Saturday, we worked in international trios – each team had someone from a different country. The result was eight original projects, which turned out excellently and showed that when three perspectives combine, something truly exceptional emerges.
We really enjoyed the unusual combination of Southern, Slavic, and Baltic participants. In our teams, we discovered what connects us, what problems we solve similarly, and how our countries differ completely. And the cultural evenings? Each one was unique, full of music, food, and laughter – and we enjoyed every single one to the fullest.
