We Radio Greece

Our radio

It seems like just a moment ago I was standing at M.R. Štefánik Airport in Bratislava with new faces, with the Slovak team. I remember how slightly uncertain and nervous I was about my very first project. I didn't know what to expect from this opportunity, as it was something unknown to me. As soon as I got to know my team, my worries disappeared. Pleasant young people with whom I had something to discuss from the very first moment. Together we participated in creating "our radio," which was the main theme/goal of the project, and in adequately representing our country during "InterculturalNight."

Through "InterculturalNight," I got to know different cultures and also connected with other participants. I would describe that evening as breaking the ice, or rather, my barrier. Although I was the youngest participant in the project, the group accepted me, which made me feel like part of our small "radio family." I enjoyed every activity, especially because of the relaxed atmosphere created by our trainers/organizers, along with the playfulness of the activities themselves.

Activities with practical implementations

Through the activities, we received theoretical explanations about types of information and their dissemination, programming, and how a radio works. Our theoretical knowledge was enriched by a practical part, where we actually conducted our own broadcast with an international group. The best part was when we had a live broadcast and others listened to us and gave us feedback. Now I am back home in Slovakia and I am glad I participated in this project.

This project enriched me in the areas of technology, culture, language, and unforgettable experiences. It wasn't just about knowledge, but also about the people who created a pleasant atmosphere around them. We were truly like a family that stuck together.

Courage, greater openness, knowledge, belonging, and strong friendships – I wouldn't have any of this if it weren't for the YouthfullyYours SK organization. For that, I owe you a huge thank you!
