At the end of August 2021, we had the opportunity to participate in an intensive “Up to Us” project in the small, picturesque Hungarian town of Szentendre. We had the chance to enjoy Hungarian hospitality in a beautiful setting, while also having fun developing our entrepreneurial and presentation skills. The project was supported by the Visegrad Fund.

During the short youth exchange, young people from V4 countries - Czech Republic, Hungary, Poland, and Slovakia - spent 3 days together and presented ideas for future projects. There was also an International Evening where we proudly represented our beautiful Slovakia. And we concluded the project with a Farewell Party, where we got to know the other participants on a less formal level. We can confidently say that each of us fully enjoyed the days.

We started the project with activities to familiarize ourselves with the Thinkathon work format. Thinkathon is a combination of the words think and marathon. It is an effective and popular way to discover new ideas - even in the business sector. After an introduction to the topic, teams chose a project idea and began discussions. In our case, it was a 24-hour brainstorm, which we tried to properly record and later present. We experienced a creative approach firsthand. At the same time, we met new people, developed, and presented ideas with like-minded individuals.

We would also like to take this opportunity to thank all the project organizers. They were willing to help in every situation, accommodating, and radiated positive energy. The entire project was very well organized, and we are taking away a lot of useful information and international friendships from it.
