TC Beyond the Feed

TC Beyond the Feed

I recently participated in the training course "Beyond the Feed," held from April 20th to 24th in Sant Adrià de Besòs, Barcelona, which focused on the impact of artificial intelligence and social networks on mental health. The project brought together 10 participants from various European countries to explore how digital technologies affect our daily lives, emotions, and overall well-being.
Firstly, the course included interactive workshops, group discussions, and practical activities that helped us better understand how algorithms, online behavior, and constant connectivity shape the way we think and feel. It also highlighted the risks of excessive social media use and offered strategies for building healthier and more conscious digital habits. One of my favorite activities was watching a documentary that showed the reality of social media from the perspective of people who had worked in this environment for many years or even participated in creating these applications. It was very insightful and emotional to see what goes on behind the scenes.

Secondly, the program was very well organized and beneficial. One of my fondest memories was the opportunity to get to know Barcelona during the Sant Jordi holiday, which is considered the Catalan version of Valentine's Day. It was a unique and beautiful experience to be there precisely during this period. Additionally, we spent one day visiting museums, exhibitions, and a local school that focuses on the mental health of young students from diverse cultural backgrounds and less privileged conditions. This experience, in particular, showed me and taught me a lot about the true impact of social media on our lives. It was a very powerful and moving day.
In my opinion, the project was very stimulating and inspiring. I greatly appreciated the opportunity to exchange views with people from different parts of Europe, which further enriched the entire experience. Overall, it was an unforgettable experience that prompted me to reflect on my relationship with technology and to be more aware of its impact.
