It took almost a year, but we finally got to experience our longed-for Danish adventure. And what a ride it was! Slovakia, Lithuania, Italy, Poland, Romania – 5 countries, 10 packed days full of outdoor activities, team-building workshops, and the sharp Danish sun. What started as a meeting of a group of strangers ended as an emotional farewell of a family, parting ways into the world, unsure when its members would meet again.
Danish nature and exceptionally warm weather created the perfect atmosphere. Since the theme of the exchange was “Stay healthy in a multicultural society,” our activities mainly took place outdoors. Theater performances, simulation games, brainstorming activities, and a sports competition for the fastest country – our activities were diverse and different every day. Of course, our favorite international nights were not to be missed, where we, Slovaks, finally had the opportunity to show everyone around how we truly live and drink in that small Slovakia.
In addition to the usual activities, we spent a day by the sea on a beautiful but windy Danish beach, where the sun burned us in a few hours like never before. Who would have thought that we would need sunscreen even in Denmark? Besides the “barbecue day,” a full-day trip to Aarhus, Denmark's second-largest city and a popular destination for international students, was organized for us. There, in addition to sightseeing, we did the popular “paperclip challenge” and met many kind people with interesting life stories. Moreover, several birthdays were celebrated during the project, always by a participant from a different country, which made this project even more special. A beautiful atmosphere was created, which one often doesn't find in projects. Each of us is immensely grateful for the opportunity to participate in this project, and none of us can imagine not knowing the people we met on the project.
And while we are taking unforgettable moments and strong friendships from Denmark, our sunburned skin is taking home the trauma of this summer. They say we caught the warmest week of the year, so in the end, everything is as it should have been, and the endless waiting was worth it J

What at the beginning seemed like a meeting of a group of strangers, ended as an emotional goodbye of a family, whose members are parting their ways and have no idea when they will cross paths again.
Danish nature and extraordinarily warm weather secured the proper atmosphere. Because the topic of the exchange was to „Stay healthy in a multicultural society“, our activities were mainly conducted outside. Theater performances, simulation games, brainstorming activities, or a sport competition about the fastest country – each day, the activities varied. Of course, our favorite intercultural nights cannot be forgotten, as it was there where us, Slovaks, finally had a chance to show everyone how we drink live in Slovakia.

Moreover, various participants celebrated their birthdays during the project, always being a person from a different country, which made the project even more special, as it created a type of atmosphere oftentimes absent on similar projects. Each one of us is extremely grateful for the opportunity to participate on this project and neither one of us can imagine NOT knowing those we met during our stay.
And while the six of us are bringing home unforgettable moments and strong friendships, our burned skin is going home with a trauma of the summer. They say we came during the hottest week of the year, so I guess at the end of the day, everything is the way it was supposed to be J
