Sicily against hate speech - Italy

In mid-May, I participated in the SAHS project – Sicily Against Hate Speech, organized by the Italian Generazione Zero. It was a 4-day course focused on the very current issues of hate speech, hoaxes, fake news, and others. Due to the current situation, we could only meet online, but it was still a full-fledged course. The organizers prepared many activities for us -
from ice-breakers at the beginning, through various discussions in larger or smaller groups, to a mockumentary that we thoroughly analyzed during the course. There was also a guest, an Italian journalist, who discussed fake news with us, how to recognize it, and most importantly, how to avoid it.
To improve relations, there was also a social evening during which we competed, sang, and talked about the typical stereotypes of our countries.
