About migration policy in the center of Berlin

The calm surface of the lake bathed in the sun's rays as if from a tropical sun. The peaceful rustling of leaves and a pleasant breeze. I'm sitting in a lazily swaying boat, enjoying a pleasant cool drink, BerlinerKindl. Wait, what? The tropical sun won't be so tropical after all. We are in Western Europe, and it's only the beginning of May. However, what I see around me doesn't quite match my idea of what the center of Berlin looks like.

The inconspicuous Plotzensee lake, however, is only a 25-minute walk from the Sprengelkiez district, from which you can take the subway directly to the center, right to Alexanderplatz, in a few minutes. The excellent location of the accommodation allowed us to distance ourselves from the hustle and bustle of the big city, but at the same time, we had the opportunity to immerse ourselves in it again in a short time.

A truly beautiful day. We are enjoying it as a reward after a very diligent week, during which we fully dedicated ourselves to non-formal education in the field of migration policy at the Community for all training course.

The very diverse cultural composition of the participating countries created a unique atmosphere for this project and introduced me to many cultures with which I had not previously come into contact. I am very grateful that I had the opportunity to meet great people from Kosovo, Albania, Azerbaijan, Serbia, Egypt, Spain, and Italy.

The educational process was also an amazing experience, thanks to very capable lecturers with whom we had many interesting discussions on the topic of migration. However, there were also many activities related to art, whether music, theater, or drawing. Thanks to interesting exercises with humor and satire, we gained an important perspective on the problem of racism, which showed us one of the ways to deal with this issue. I am truly very grateful that I had the opportunity to participate in this project.
