LeGENDERy – Romania

LeGENDERy - Romania
LeGendery’s Project took place from October 23rd to October 31st in Constanta, a beautiful city that is part of Romania. The project's theme was gender equality. Participants were from 5 different countries such as Slovakia, Romania, Italy, Bulgaria, and Poland.
The first day was about introductions and team building. We talked about our studies, work, hobbies, everything we like, and also what we fear. Getting to know so many people at once is exciting. The various stories and places we discussed, I enjoyed listening and absorbing all the information.
The second day was about exploring the city. During one of our activities, we had the opportunity to get to know both the city and its local residents. The activity was adventurous and fun. We divided into 5 teams, which was the best opportunity to get to know each other better and blend as a team.
On the third and fourth days, we worked on several activities and workshops, then we talked a lot about the main theme of the project. It was interesting for me to observe and listen to all kinds of discussions about gender equality. Before the project, I had various information on this topic, but now I feel even more confident in my opinions and thoughts. I also must not forget to mention the cultural evenings, which I truly loved. After each cultural evening, I simply fell in love with the country we were discussing, and I felt a desire to visit the country as soon as possible.
On the fifth day, we went on a guided trip to the city. We explored and learned a lot about local history and interesting places in the city. After the guided tour, we had free time to spend these hours as we wished. With my friends, we decided to eat something good, visit a local mosque with a tower, and enjoy a city tour and coffee.
The last days of the project were very intense, as we knew that our time together was inevitably coming to an end. One of the activities worth mentioning was the open debate we had with a jury. We were divided into 2 teams - pro and con - and we discussed. It was a great opportunity to experience a real debate and gain valuable experience. The overall feelings from the project were great, and I am grateful for this opportunity.
