Green message

The youth exchange we participated in was called Green Message and took place in a beautiful small town in Croatia named Ludbreg. Our entire team met at our accommodation, which was a nice hotel in the city center, and we immediately became friends. The surroundings were beautiful, as the entire town was surrounded by vineyards and nature. In the middle of the town there was also the so-called "island youth", where we spent most of our free time sitting by the lake playing games and enjoying the great weather.

For the first half of the project, we mostly gave presentations about ecology in our surroundings, drew many posters, and played many cool energizers. We even went to some really interesting museums to see how our predecessors lived. All of this helped enrich our ecological thinking and prepared us well for the second half of the project, in which we mostly practiced ecology. We built and painted birdhouses and insect hotels, for which we later had to find suitable locations. We even went to the streets to educate local residents about ecology and much more. A great experience was also the trip to Varazdin, where we had the opportunity to explore the castle and the rest of the beautiful city. The last task was to write or draw our green message on our bags, which was such a creative and fun ending.

On behalf of the entire Slovak team, I would like to thank Youthfully Yours for giving us the opportunity to participate in this fulfilling project, where we met amazing new people and had the chance to get to know their cultures, as well as to get to know Ludbreg and learn how to spread the GREEN MESSAGE.
