The concept of social cohesion and increasing young people's self-confidence

The NGO L'Orma, which organized the Re-ACT project on the Italian coast in the city of Finale Ligure, focuses primarily on using physical activity as a tool for communication, education, personal growth, and knowledge acquisition for young people.

Theater as a means of learning

Within this project, we often used theater and musical performances as part of physical and artistic expression. We also developed our knowledge in the field of Forum Theater, the "theater of the oppressed," which challenges the audience to reflect on life issues and requires an active approach. This theater is a means of social change and represents a tool for personal and collective liberation, emphasizing creativity in finding possible solutions to various problematic scenarios. The project's goal was to focus on the concept of social cohesion with a special emphasis on civic and social capacity to strengthen self-confidence and soft skills in adolescents aged 14 to 18.

Unusual and interesting form

Regarding the project's theme, we initially didn't know what to expect, as we had not participated in a project of a similar nature before. Nevertheless, the Re-ACT project's theme was interesting, albeit unusual, for both of us. We hope that in the future we will have the opportunity to be part of other projects, as it is a great opportunity to expand our knowledge with something new, get to know other cultures, and meet new friends.

Active and positive approach of the organizer

The main organizer, Daniele, always had a positive attitude and tried to accommodate us in every aspect. Despite it being one of his first projects as an organizer, we especially appreciate his communication skills as well as the project's organizational structure, which was time-consuming. We particularly liked Daniele as a person with whom we remain in contact and would gladly participate in his future projects again.
