Change is life

Change is life
Change is life, and so with this motto in mind, I very timidly and hesitantly applied for my first youth exchange. My success was an even greater surprise, the taste of which, honestly, I seriously haven't gotten used to yet. I had no idea what to expect.

The exchange itself significantly exceeded my expectations in almost all respects. It was a unique opportunity for me to meet new people, their cultures, ways of thinking and traditions, improve my communication skills, enrich myself with new experiences and see life in Romania, of which I was a part for a short time.

I would like to thank everyone who was part of this exchange, the other Slovaks and their ability to put up with me, the Romanian organizers, and also Youthfully Yours for their help, very clear communication, and last but not least, amazing-looking pineapple socks.

Although I told myself at the beginning that I wouldn't use common phrases like "nice people", "pleasant environment" or "amazing atmosphere", in the end I had to admit that all of it was true. This week significantly brightened my life, I made new friends and broadened my horizons. The only factor that disappointed me in the whole exchange was the strong taste of apple cider vinegar in the vegetable salads.

And although I experienced wonderful, lively and unforgettable moments, I don't know and probably never will fully appreciate how much they changed me, moved me forward...
