BEcoming in Denmark

BEcoming in Denmark

BEcoming ourselves

The first thing that caught my eye when I saw the offer for this Erasmus project was the destination – Denmark. Since I am a person who loves to travel not only to holiday destinations, I immediately told myself that I had to go there. Only then did my gaze fall on the topic and the overall focus of the project...

“Becoming” – that is, to emerge... at first hearing it might sound strange, but thanks to the excellent organization of the Danish team, this topic was presented to us very well, and everyone who was willing to listen took something away from this project. And what exactly was “emerging” there?

The goal was to focus on oneself. We spent time meditating, doing joint activities, and considering what we expected from this project. An important part was the lectures, which helped us reduce multitasking and taught us how to feel the moment and concentrate on just one thing or activity.

Thanks to all these activities, we gradually became “new people.” People who can stop in this fast-paced era and breathe deeply. People who can perceive the charm of nature around us. People who will not do 10 things at once, but will focus on one and thus calm their racing minds. Thanks to this, we became better people for ourselves.

It was a very pleasantly spent week, in the company of very open and friendly people who, through joint efforts, improved not only in self-discovery but also in English. The accommodation in nature only highlighted the main idea of the entire project, but for the more demanding, the organizers beautifully balanced it with a full-day trip to Aarhus, where they devised a very nice program for us. The whole experience was perfected by very good food, which all participants from all countries highly praised.

I am grateful for the opportunity to participate in this project and I highly recommend these projects to anyone who wants to enrich their life with new knowledge, experiences, friendships, or desires to improve in foreign languages.
