APV Skills4Future

I had the opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ SKILLS4FUTURE project, which focuses on developing soft skills, as well as an Advanced Planning Visit (APV) that took place before the youth exchange itself. The main goal of the project is to support the personal and social development of young people, strengthen their communication, teamwork, and organizational skills, and prepare them for the challenges of future studies or professional life.

The APV meeting was held in the Italian city of Molfetta, where we met with the host organization from Italy and leaders from partner countries – Romania, Sweden, Poland, and Spain. During the program, we focused not only on the organizational and administrative aspects of the project but also on creating the content of the youth exchange itself. Since the project largely depends on the participants and leaders who co-create its program, we jointly discussed and decided on the activities and methodology to be implemented during the exchange.

As part of the preparations, we agreed that each country would prepare its own thematic block of activities, which the team would bring and present at the youth exchange planned for April 2026. This will enrich the program with diverse approaches, cultural perspectives, and experiences from individual countries.

In addition to the working part, the program was enriched by exploring the local culture. We had the opportunity to discover the charm of the historic town of Molfetta, visit its museums, and walk through its lively streets, which gave us a taste of the authentic atmosphere of southern Italy.

I can sincerely recommend this experience to anyone who has ever considered participating in an Erasmus+ project. It's an opportunity to step out of your comfort zone, overcome your own fears, and try new things – whether it's flying for the first time or communicating in English. In such an international environment, one naturally improves language skills, meets inspiring people from different countries, discovers new places, and gains lifelong experiences and friendships.
