Project Organizer: Asociația de Tineri Din Ardeal (ATA)

The youth exchange will take place from October 22nd to 31st in Cristuru Secuiesc, Romania.

Main Goal: This project focuses on mental health in everyday life. It gives young people from diverse backgrounds a chance to meet and explore how to care for their mental well-being through daily routines, healthy habits, self-awareness, and connection with others. The aim is to help participants build practical skills that will improve their mental health, understand how to manage stress, recognize minor mental health difficulties more easily, and find ways to support themselves and their peers. This is not therapy, but rather about learning tools, sharing experiences, and breaking taboos around mental health — all within a safe and supportive international environment.

Project Objectives:

To raise awareness about mental health as an integral part of everyday life.
To build practical skills for managing stress, emotional overload, and mild anxieties.
To create a safe space for participants to reflect and share personal stories.
To empower young people to support themselves and their peers in healthier ways.

Working Language: English.

Number of Participants: 5 + 1

Ideal Participant Profile:

Aged 13 – 18 years old.
Leaders aged 21+ years old.
Able to communicate in English.
Available for 8 days of activities plus travel days.
Ready to share experiences and engage in structured discussions.
People interested in the topic, willing to share stories, collaborate, and learn more about mental health.
Students or young adults who feel comfortable as part of an international community.
Experiences some social, economic, cultural, or geographical difficulties.

Important Information:

Accommodation, meals, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.

Travel Cost Limits: 211 € (green travel: 285 €)

Extremely Important: Keep all travel documents and tickets for reimbursement – participants must retain travel documents to and from the venue and submit them / send them to the project organizer according to their instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is not covered or reimbursed by the organizers. Each participant is obliged to arrange health insurance valid in Romania.

Purchase tickets only after written confirmation from the organizers.
All participants must attend all meetings and subsequent dissemination activities.
