The youth exchange will take place from September 1, 2025 to September 10, 2025 in Arrouquelas, Rio Maior, Portugal.

Main Goal: cultivate ecological thinking

Project Objectives:

Understanding Permaculture: equip participants with the knowledge and skills to apply sustainable practices in daily life and long-term planning
Strengthening Local Action: empower young people to engage in local communities and initiate sustainability projects, such as biodistricts
Promoting Environmental Awareness: inspire ecological habits through outdoor education and build a deeper connection with nature
Fostering Active Participation: enable young people to engage in decision-making and understand the connection between active citizenship and community development
Supporting Intercultural Exchange: promote mutual respect and cooperation among young Europeans and share diverse cultural perspectives on sustainability

Working Language: English.

Number of Participants: 4+1

Ideal Participant Profile:

18+
Young people interested in environmental sustainability who want to promote green practices, especially through permaculture principles

Important Information:

Accommodation, meals, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.

Travel Cost Limits: According to distance, see Infopack

Extremely Important: Keep all travel documents and tickets for reimbursement – the participant must keep the travel document to and from the venue and submit it / send it to the project organizer according to their instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is not covered or reimbursed by the organizers. Each participant is obliged to arrange health insurance valid in Portugal.

Purchase tickets only after written confirmation from the organizers.
All participants must attend all meetings and subsequent dissemination activities.
