YE SKILLS4FUTURE

I had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Erasmus+ project called SKILLS4FUTURE, which took place from April 7th to 14th in Giovinazzo, Italy. The project focused on developing soft skills and brought together young people from several different countries for one unforgettable week.

What was exceptional about this project was that participants were involved in creating the program even before the exchange itself. Each country chose its own theme related to soft skills and prepared its own activity, which was then presented during the exchange. This meant that we were not just passive participants – we were true co-creators of the entire program. Our Slovak team also prepared and led its own activity, which was a great experience in itself.

The exchange took place in a beautiful monastery right in the heart of Giovinazzo, a charming Italian seaside town. The environment was truly exceptional and gave the entire experience a unique and peaceful atmosphere. Each day was full of interesting activities, workshops, and discussions, during which we could learn from each other and naturally develop our soft skills.

One of the biggest highlights of the program was the cultural evenings, where each country had the opportunity to present its culture to the others. We could taste traditional dishes, see traditional clothing, watch dances, and learn more about the traditions of individual countries. These evenings were always fun, warm, and full of laughter, and they helped us all build deeper relationships.

In addition to the activities at the accommodation, we also had the opportunity to explore the surroundings. We visited the beautiful town of Giovinazzo and also the city of Bari, through fun activities that made discovering these places even more enjoyable. Walking through the streets of southern Italy, gazing at the sea, and getting to know the local culture was something I will never forget.

The overall atmosphere of the project was very friendly and warm. From the first day, everyone was open, kind, and willing to make connections. By the end of the week, it felt as if we had known each other much longer than just a few days. I met new friends from different countries, and I believe these friendships will last long after the project ends.

This experience taught me a lot – not only about soft skills, but also about myself, about other cultures, and about the world. I stepped out of my comfort zone, tried new things, and returned home with a lot of inspiration and beautiful memories.

I would sincerely recommend the Erasmus+ project to anyone considering it. It's an opportunity to grow, travel, meet amazing people, and bring home experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime.
