YE EQ is the New Cool

From September 1st to 5th, 2025, we had the wonderful opportunity to participate in a youth exchange in the Polish city of Rzeszów. The project, titled EQ Is the New Cool, focused on the importance of emotional intelligence while also helping participants discover the value of teamwork and soft skills. During this exchange, we had the honor of welcoming representatives from several Slavic countries, including Slovakia, Poland, the Czech Republic, and Ukraine. Throughout the entire stay, we strived to foster mutual understanding and relationships.

The project would not have been possible without INPRO, an organization whose dedicated trainers and volunteers brought everyone together. Throughout the week, we stayed in their hostel and participated in workshops that made this experience interesting and unforgettable. Additionally, we had the opportunity to taste traditional Polish cuisine, whose flavors absolutely delighted all of us.

The activities were very diverse, ranging from role-playing to outdoor tasks that tested our teamwork and communication skills. Each day brought new ways to improve our emotional intelligence, with time left after each session to reflect on our personal emotions and thoughts. This helped create a safe and pleasant environment where everyone could participate without fear or apprehension.

Outside of the workshops, we had many opportunities to get to know each other personally. Whether it was exploring the city of Rzeszów together, dining together, or simply talking late into the evening, we formed friendships that extended beyond the project itself. At the end of the exchange, we all left not only with new skills but also with memories and relationships that we will carry with us into the future.
