Understanding Non-formal Learning

Understanding Non-Formal Learning (Discovering Potentials)
The training course took place in Kalamata, a small seaside town on the Peloponnese peninsula. We met a great group of 18 young people from various European countries to learn more about the importance of non-formal education today.
We had sessions on the differences between formal/non-formal education; we went through youth work and each of the key competencies.

Between each session, we had energizers that kept us ready to learn and actively participate.
Unfortunately, due to Covid restrictions, we could not hold a traditional intercultural evening according to hotel rules. Nevertheless, we created an original board game where we learned a lot about each participating country and its customs.
We also discovered the types of Erasmus+ programs.

At the end of the project, each group developed an idea for their own Erasmus project, from the title to the objectives, target groups, and the impact and dissemination section. Each group came up with a different perspective on various current issues and needs of young people.
I believe that every participant can say that they successfully “Discovered Potentials”, as stated in the project title.
