Ulysses

Immediately after my first wild bus ride in Italy, I realized that the following days would be full of adventures. The first of these was getting to the village of Montecchio Maggiore near Vicenza - which was not so easy, because regional buses in Italy are a challenge. After completing the journey up through the vineyards, a surprise awaited us in the form of picturesque accommodation with a wonderful view in the middle of the Italian countryside.

The days were full of self-discovery, getting to know our friends from other countries, but mainly the picturesque town of Vicenza (our host city!). We dedicated a large part of the project to school problems in other countries, and getting to know Italian culture through our stomachs. Throughout the project, there was a palpable openness from each of us to share our own problems and stresses.

Thanks to this project, I met great new people from Slovakia, but also from all corners of Europe - but most importantly, I got to know myself. Because everyone needs to have an Italian mindset. I will definitely visit Italy again, and this project opened my eyes to the fact that everyone can find their place in Italy.
