TikTok Time for stories

TikTok Time for Stories
In late October, 20 participants gathered near the small Italian village of Galbiate for a training course called TIKTOK – Time for stories to expand their knowledge of social media management and improve their skills. The entire program was organized by the Joint association.

All activities were led by an experienced social media manager and her team. Her goal was to find out how young Europeans use social media and understand what content they produce and consume. Young people had the opportunity to practically try out how to work with the tools these media offer and fully utilize their potential. Teamwork was also important, on which most activities were based. What do we mean by most activities? As an example, we can mention creating ideal users for our social media, their main interests, and ways to capture their attention. The multiculturalism of the project participants also helped us with this, showing us various ways to engage an audience. During this week, we were encouraged to speak in front of a larger audience, thereby stepping out of our comfort zone and battling our anxiety. This is one of the few things we had to overcome. We were also taught to adapt to unexpected newly arising problems that we had to solve under time pressure. This particular activity showed us how important it is to be organized and have a well-designed schedule.

The project itself not only brought us new skills but also helped us establish new relationships that will open up opportunities for us in the near future. We would like to thank all the people and organizers for this incredible experience.
