TIKTOK time for stories

In this text, my task is to summarize and evaluate the TikTok – Time for stories project from the perspective of a project participant.

First, I would like to point out that the quality of the project experience is mainly set by the people who participate in it, and in this regard, I am very satisfied.

I don't know to what extent we can thank the precise selection process in our country or luck for this, but we in the Slovak team agreed that we were an excellent group. Here, I immodestly add that we were also one of the most active and productive within the project. (The presence of the mentioned selection process was not noticeable everywhere; some groups, often relatives or acquaintances, were quiet, inactive, and quite closed off, often with poor English).

Accommodation and food were fine; the hostel standards of comfort were compensated by a beautiful view, although some felt that we were too cut off from civilization, which is an individual and subjective view (others, including me, liked it). In this regard, we generally only disliked one thing, and that was our, essentially involuntary, involvement in the running of the hostel – washing dishes or floors.

The program was interestingly designed and adequately distributed throughout the day; teambuilding activities alternated with educational sessions or so-called energizers. However, given the name and goal of the project, we would probably have expected more teaching about social networks, more specific advice, or procedures. The project topics were more general, focused more on discussion, for which many participants from other countries were not competent.

Overall, however, I evaluate the project, and as far as I know, I am not alone, as successful; the positives clearly outweighed the negatives, and I am very grateful for this week.
