Theater tools for dramatic situations in Romania

In February, I spent an unforgettable 10 days in Romania. The reason was my participation in the Erasmus training course "Theater Tools for Dramatic Situations," which took place in Sarata Monteoru and Buzau. There, I was surrounded by talented people from various countries, which truly encouraged me to work hard throughout the entire project. The organizer genuinely appreciated our efforts and prepared many pleasant surprises for us.

The main goal of the project was to understand the topic of tolerance and how theater could address this issue. Using various theatrical techniques kindly suggested by the project trainers, we tried to uncover some aspects of the topic, such as migration, asylum seekers, and refugees. This preparatory part took place in nature, where Sărata-Monteoru is located. After one week in this beautiful place, we were ready to perform for the public, and therefore we had to move to Buzău.

On our way from one place to another, we also visited Blatni vulkani in the municipality of Berca, a place with the most unique landscape I have ever seen. And here we are: ready, well-dressed, knowing exactly what we have prepared for the audience. The two hours we spent on stage are one of the most memorable moments of 2022.

Time in Romania passed so quickly, and it was already time to say goodbye. Full of new experiences and beautiful memories, I set off on my journey home, during which I recalled all the wonderful moments we all shared together in Sarate-Monteoru and Buzău. On this occasion, I would like to thank the Youthfully Yours organization for giving me such an incredible opportunity. I believe I gained such a unique experience that soon encouraged me to help refugees coming to our country from Ukraine.
