Teamwork is Greenwork

From September 16th to September 24th, we had the opportunity to participate in an Erasmus+ project with a team of 4 participants from Slovakia, which took place on the beautiful island of Cyprus in the city of Protaras. This mobility focused on ecology and the problem of high youth unemployment across the EU.

Together with partner countries such as Spain, Germany, Greece, Bulgaria, and Croatia, we addressed static problems concerning foreign economies and created models to compare the living standards of residents. In addition, we created joint ecological magazines and videos, which not only taught us teamwork but also tested our creativity and digital skills. We also learned how to write interesting CVs and cover letters, which are the first step towards a successful career for every young person.

Through getting to know each other, we gained wonderful international friendships, as well as knowledge about the diversity of different cultures and nations. We tried foreign traditional cuisine, danced local dances, and learned new words in every language.

Every day we brightened up with an energizer – an activity that woke us up and motivated us to work. We continued with group work, which tested our knowledge of the English language as well as our practical knowledge in economics and ecology. We tried out leadership positions and solved communication problems that commonly arise in every workplace. Therefore, we know that these newly acquired skills will be useful not only in our daily lives but also in our careers.

This project enriched us with new knowledge, and we are incredibly grateful for this experience. We had the opportunity to get to know new cultures, form long-lasting friendships, and discover the beautiful island of Cyprus. We definitely recommend this opportunity – to represent our beautiful Slovakia at an international level – to every interested person and thank Youthfully Yours for the very pleasant communication and help in all aspects.
