Striving for Gender Equality through Youth Work

Our project began with our arrival in the small town of Dilijan, Armenia. The project "STRIVE", Striving for Gender Equality through Youth Work, as the name suggests, was primarily focused on developing and improving the knowledge and understanding of youth workers involved in the project regarding various gender concepts. We presented our countries from the perspective of gender situation, equality, stereotypes, and highlighted various interesting statistics or facts that caught our attention or that we encountered during our lives.

At the end of the project, we had the chance to try out and test the acquired knowledge regarding facilitation. This was among the most beneficial activities, where, within 30 minutes, we had the opportunity to prepare activities for our co-participants on a given topic and try out new practices in practice. We must not forget to present our countries during the cultural night, where we proudly introduced our beautiful Slovakia, traditions, and dances, and last but not least, we experienced a lot of laughter and learned more about other Balkan countries during that night.
