It's worth doing something selfless for this world after all

Doing something selflessly for this world is still worth it
This project was about volunteering, and it confirmed to me once again that doing something selflessly for this world is indeed worthwhile. We had the opportunity to gain new experiences, improve our communication skills (not only in English), but most importantly, to meet new and amazing people with whom our friendships continue even after the project ended.

As for the activities that were part of our daily routine, they were in the form of non-formal education, and I realized how much I miss this in our schools. We had the opportunity to create and speak without limits; we were constantly asked for our own opinions, and it was then that moments came when it wasn't just about reciting textbook definitions, but about reflecting on our unique perspectives.
The atmosphere was very friendly, which actually helped overcome the stress of speaking in front of people.
The main goal of the project was to prepare a program for children with special needs. This is where we needed good teamwork and the qualities of a true volunteer. The smiles of the children and endless hugs goodbye were proof of a successful effort.

So, what did this project actually give us?
It showed us that we have many opportunities to improve ourselves, travel, meet new people, and make this world at least a little better. To overcome our obstacles, communicate, build greater self-confidence, and last but not least, become more independent.
I would like to thank the organizers for the pleasant moments spent, for the amazing program they designed for us, for every game that made us laugh, for every Zumba session whose steps we will probably remember forever, and simply for the opportunity to meet and learn many things from other cultures.
