Reach Out Training Course Denmark

The Reach out seminar took place in the beautiful small town of Slettestrand in Denmark. The journey there was quite daunting due to a snowstorm, which caused many participants to change their routes or get stuck at various airports or bus/train stations, but in the end, everyone managed to arrive at the venue.

The accommodation was very nice and warm, one of the best I've ever had within Erasmus projects. We were accommodated in apartments for 5 people in 3 separate rooms. The place had an amazing swimming pool and also a sauna. Food was served buffet style with plenty of options to choose from.

On the first day, we got to know each other better by playing name games and energizers. We realized that everyone was very friendly, and we had a very good feeling about the project's atmosphere.

On the second day, we slowly started discussing the topic, dividing into national groups where we had to choose one hard-to-reach group of people in our nation to discuss. Later, each of us had to choose one of the most common hard-to-reach groups we had presented before, plus some other very common groups that are prevalent in today's society.

In the following days, we presented our ideas in groups on how to reach hard-to-reach groups, how to integrate them, how to secure employment for them, how to understand them, and how to help them.

We also had several lectures about the EU in general, where we learned a lot about what it means to be European, and it helped us feel much better about being part of the EU and realize that we are proud to be EU citizens.

Of course, it wasn't just serious work non-stop. Every evening we had a lot of fun playing games, sharing our culture, with hot chocolate and marshmallows by the campfire, which helped us get to know each other better and made it easier to cooperate during the day, as it was easier to communicate with each other. We also went on a tour of Aalborg, which is a beautiful modern city, where we met a local artist who showed us her studio.

Overall, I really liked the project; it fully met my expectations.
