A project is not just about the organization itself, but mainly about long preparation

Hi, we are Denis, Diana, and Nicola, all around 20 years old, and for the past 6 days, through the Youthfully Yours organization, we spent time in Wisla, Poland, where we participated in a training called "Supporting Youth in their Projects." During the training, we learned what it means to organize a project and everything it entails.

Alongside us Slovaks, Croats, Macedonians, Romanians, Bulgarians, and Poles also participated in the training, which gave us the opportunity to get to know not only people from other parts of Europe but also their customs and culture. All countries were presented in the evenings at the so-called "intercultural evening." We Slovaks had a quiz about Slovakia and prepared delicious food: bryndza spread, cheeses, Horalky, and Kofola.

The training was organized by Poles – experienced women who responsibly fulfilled the role of trainers and taught us the basic concepts related to project organization from its preparation, implementation, to its completion. We learned that a project is not just about the organization itself, but mainly about long preparation. We learned various methods that help with preparations, conflict resolution, and giving feedback.

During the training, we not only gained theoretical knowledge but also had the opportunity to work on a project in parts within a group of people throughout the week, which we eventually presented to all participants. Many interesting activities and games were also prepared for us to get to know personalities, ways of resolving conflicts, and project implementation. We had a lot of fun during the games J We also had the opportunity to meet the mayor of Wisla, talk about young people and their involvement in the city, and visit this city.

In our free time after the program, we went into the city, which also gave us a nice walk.
