Business of the Future

My exchange in the Netherlands on the topic of ecology and related business began for me early in the morning in Košice, from where I needed to get to Bratislava, and then we boarded a minibus that took us to Nijmegen (read Najmechen) in the Netherlands. At first, we were all surprised by the bumpy ride (the driver Igor probably tried to spice it up), but later we got used to it and started communicating more with each other and getting to know each other.

We arrived at the hotel at night, which meant we wouldn't meet the other participants until the next day. However, from the beginning, I felt like I had known them for a long time, because there was a really good atmosphere among everyone. This youth exchange also taught me that not every project is the same, and there can always be something that is not so typical. On this project, we attended various lectures and discussions where we heard interesting tips and tricks on how to hack your business, how and with what you can do business within ecology, and also how to be zero-waste or how something new, creative, and interesting can be created from waste on the beach.

The activities in the park brought me the most joy, where we were most connected with nature, and since the weather was good to us, it was very pleasant and energizing. We also had many activities at the Dutch university, where we could see how the Dutch study and how different it is from our Slovak universities.

Nijmegen is a beautiful city where there is always something new to discover, and where you can relax in a wonderful park in the middle of the city. I am very grateful that I could participate in the project and I would definitely like to do it again 🙂
