Joint learning, sharing and shaping the future in Košice

Joint Learning, Sharing, and Shaping the Future in Košice

In December 2025, the partners of the PureLife / #NormShift project met in Košice, Slovakia, for an inspiring Learning, Teaching and Training Activity hosted by FLEXSKILL. Over several days, partners collaborated to test the training program, refine project materials, and move the project a step closer to its goal — empowering young people to build a healthier, alcohol-free lifestyle.
This meeting was much more than just a formal project activity. It created a space for learning, discussion, creativity, and teamwork. Partners practically experienced individual training modules, shared their insights, and discussed how to make the materials more engaging, relevant, and useful for young people and youth workers. The program included interactive activities focused on self-confidence, identity, peer influence, and social circumstances related to pressure to consume alcohol. Activities such as Confidence in the Crowd, Reclaim the Fun, and Identity Hunt allowed participants to experience the training from the perspective of the learner themselves.
An important part of the LTTA was also the evaluation of the Hybrid Peer Facilitator Training Manual and the Mentorship Guide, which will serve to support young peer educators and those who mentor them. Through a joint discussion of these tools, partners were able to gain valuable feedback and ensure that the materials are practical, understandable, and inspiring.
The final day was dedicated to evaluation, planning the pilot testing phase, and gathering participant feedback on the developed toolkit. This helped the partnership identify what works well, what can still be improved, and how to meaningfully prepare the next steps of the project.
For Youthfully Yours SK, this LTTA was an important moment in the project journey. It showed how international cooperation can translate ideas into real educational tools that address young people in an understandable and empowering way. The days spent in Košice were full of energy, reflection, and motivation — and at the same time reminded us that building a healthier lifestyle begins with honest conversations, joint learning, and creating a space where young people can lead change.
