Inclusive Neighborhoods: Transforming Communities
This Erasmus experience was very enriching for me. The theme of this training course was "how to build a proper community." A very timeless topic. Every day we discussed what a community actually is, what a community should look like, what can cause a community to break down, and so on. Gradually, with each passing day, I realized where we, as a society, are making mistakes and what aspects need to be improved. At the same time, I discovered how little I am open to new possibilities and people. Even though I thought I was quite a tolerant person, now I know that one can be even more so. Another thing I really liked about Erasmus was that everyone's opinion was accepted. This taught me not to be afraid to express my agreement/disagreement on a given topic, and at the same time, I learned to accept the other side. The program was rich and varied, and there was also a city tour and free time, during which we also rested. The food was fine, as was the accommodation. We also had the opportunity to taste traditional Polish dishes, for which I was very grateful. In my opinion, the best event was the "Open café," where we got to meet other international students. Thanks to this event, I gained contacts for life, and I firmly believe that I will meet some of the Erasmus participants again.
