I want YOU(th) – Youth Exchange

Our journey to the Erasmus+ project began when we met at the railway station in Bratislava, traveled together to Schwechat Airport, and from there to Milan. In the early evening, we arrived in Galbiate, where the organizers were waiting for us and drove us to the project location. Dinner and other members of the organizational team awaited us at the accommodation. They showed us the project venue, as well as the surroundings, from where we had a magnificent view of Milan's night panorama and the Alps.

The next day, we met other participants from Albania, Bulgaria, Italy, and Spain. The program for this day was dedicated to team-building activities and workshops, which were primarily focused on team formation and stepping out of one's comfort zone.

The main theme of the project was dedicated to raising awareness about the importance of volunteering, as well as opportunities within our countries and international European Union programs.

During the free program day, we visited the historic part of Bergamo and Milan and its historical sights such as the Milan Cathedral, Sforza Castle, and the canals on which we sailed by boat.

Evenings were dedicated to country presentations or jointly planned activities such as karaoke and movie night. During multicultural evenings, each country had the opportunity to present itself in various ways, for example, through short videos, Kahoot quizzes, national dances, or performances.

The last evening was dedicated to the Youthpass ceremony and a farewell party. This project allowed us to meet many amazing people from all over Europe, get to know their culture, and gain new perspectives on various topics. We brought home many unforgettable memories, new friendships, as well as knowledge about volunteering and foreign cultures and customs. We greatly appreciate this opportunity and hope to use the new knowledge and skills in our future.
