Go Greener, the change starts by yourself

From October 10, 2022, to October 17, 2022, I had the opportunity to participate in an ERASMUS+ educational project called “Go greener, the change starts by yourself.” My participation in the project was made possible by the Slovak organization Youthfully Yours, which collaborated with the project organizers from Romania. Thanks to the Romanian organization Association of Intercultural Communities, the project ran smoothly, in the beautiful thermal area of Baile Felix near the city of Oradea. The program was led by an experienced lecturer who has been involved in ERASMUS+ projects for over 20 years.

The program consisted mainly of discussions and workshops, through which we first got to know each other and created a pleasant and safe atmosphere, and later we discussed environmental problems and their solutions across the entire European Union. Each country presented the state of its environment, which we then compared with the others.

It was a very useful experience, thanks to which I had the opportunity to express my opinion on the matter and learn how things work in other countries. Before the project, I felt that most EU countries operated similarly, had the same difficulties, and also the same solutions. The opposite was true. My understanding of other EU countries expanded, and I learned about many different perspectives on situations. We also discussed and looked for ways in which individuals can help our planet.

I highly value this experience, thanks to which I have improved most in my communication skills in English, as well as personally. I made many new contacts, which I hope will last.

So far, I have implemented many steps that help the environment, and I am trying to add more that I have learned about.
