Filling gaps

The Fillin Gaps training course took place from January 13-21, 2022, in the picturesque town of Nea Makri, on the southeastern coast of Greece. The journey was pleasant and trouble-free; a driver was waiting for us at Athens airport and took us directly to the hotel. As for the accommodation, it was very nice and, above all, clean. We stayed two per room, some even alone.

The food was incredible, perfect, for me and the other participants. Varied, healthy, tasty. Breakfasts were buffet-style, and you could truly find whatever you desired. Lunches and dinners were divided into vegetarian and main dishes, also served buffet-style.

The first day, as usual, focused on getting to know each other better, whether through introductions, games, or various activities that helped us break the ice.

On the second day, we fully immersed ourselves in our topic and effectively began discussing and sharing our knowledge, experiences, and shaping our ideas for potential business plans and concepts.

The following day, we were divided into teams, in which we worked until the last day of the project. Our task was, based on a selected topic and design thinking methodology, to devise an innovative but realistic business plan to help vulnerable groups, specifically in our case, young unemployed women, find their dream job by utilizing our platform. We would help them identify their strengths, what they should focus on, what digital tools they would need, or introduce them to these tools, and also assist them with the process of finding a specific company and employment.

On the last day, we presented our proposals, which had to include a creative design aspect, innovative but realistic implementation in practice, and a detailed financial plan.

Overall, I really enjoyed this project; it fully met all my expectations and moved me up another level, not only in the field of business and start-ups, for which I am very grateful.
