Becoming a Social Entrepreneur in Lithuania

The youth exchange in Renavas, Lithuania, focused on the topic of social entrepreneurship. Social entrepreneurship is a type of business where profits are used to support activities that benefit society.

The main focus of the days spent on the project was joint activities and workshops on the aforementioned topic. The output of these activities included a business plan or “lean canvas” for one's own project, recording an advertisement for the given product or service, and presenting it to other participants, leaders, and project organizers.

Throughout the duration of the activities, the ability to work in a team was especially developed within an international group of young people with different attitudes, worldviews, and ideas. The main language of the project was English. As participants, we strengthened our communication in a foreign language with people from various countries and learned to respect and tolerate the opinions and ideas of others, whether on a topic familiar or less familiar to us.
