All right for social rights

The end of June brought a new adventure and an intensive project on social equality for two Slovak women in the Italian town of Recoaro Terme. From June 24th to July 4th, the participants not only made new friends but, more importantly, deepened their knowledge of issues such as discrimination, racism, and social and human rights.

The outcome of the entire process was a reflection on the current situation and awareness regarding social rights in Slovakia and other participating EU countries. Thanks to the combination of knowledge and diverse perspectives, and the specific problems each country faced, it was possible to create proposals for project implementations to overcome certain difficulties. The project itself was enriching for the daily lives of ordinary people as well, as it also focused on the rights and responsibilities of employees and students. The broad scope of the project, concerning social rights, and the distinguished discussions ultimately led to an effective exchange of knowledge and contacts, and could pave the way for potential future collaborations.

Last but not least, thanks go to the project organizers, who enabled international cooperation among young people and provided the opportunity to establish new contacts.
