AGORA APV

From March 7th to 9th, I participated in an APV in the town of Calenzano near Florence, Italy. I was invited to help plan and design a future youth exchange that will take place in a nearby village. There will be 45 participants from 5 different countries.

As soon as I arrived in Calenzano, she-the representative of the Italian organization came to pick me up. It was Laura, the president of the organization. She showed me the accommodation and later came with me to dinner, where I met Kitty, the president of EKO Greece, the Greek partner of this project. We discussed various issues that might arise during the meeting of all partner organizations, which would take place the next day.

The next day, we met in Laura's office and got to work. There were 6 of us present, unfortunately, the representative of the Dutch organization only joined online. It was Laura, her son who helps facilitate the project, Kitty, myself, and Rimante for the Lithuanian partner. We brainstormed activities for the participants, such as morning energizers, afternoon sessions, a full-day trip to Florence, or the popular cultural evenings. We managed to create an engaging and fun youth exchange program while also presenting and exchanging valuable information about our organizations. Overall, it was a great experience, with great people and in an amazing environment. I am convinced that this project, although it is the first project of "Associazione Viaggi senza Frontiere" (IT org), will be successful and I look forward to participating in it myself.
