Development of Creative and Critical Skills for Youth Workers in Latvia

I'll be honest, I didn't expect much from Erasmus in Latvia. Mainly because it was more focused on the creative side of a person, which wasn't very developed in me. Plus, I wasn't sure what a small town in Latvia could offer me. It turned out I was wrong, and I'm very glad about that.

The project in this city personally gave me a lot. Whether it's about experiences or practical knowledge. The lecturers in our project were great people who spoke engagingly. From Henrik, I learned a lot about human values and communication between people. Ieva, in turn, sparked my creative side. Thanks to Erasmus, I definitely became a more active person.

At the same time, I would like to mention that if someone is hesitant about Erasmus due to the organizational aspect, they really have nothing to fear. The organization in Latvia was great. Food, accommodation, everything, although I must warn about Latvian cuisine, which is a bit dry. As for the Slovak organization, our coordinator Miška regularly contacted us during the project.

Finally, I would like to add that if you are hesitating about Erasmus, don't hesitate. For me, I definitely recommend going to a country you've never been to in your life, and even to a project that is outside your comfort zone. The results came; I met a great group of people and gained new knowledge.

So don't hesitate and sign up.
