Effective Participation
The training course within the Up 2 You(th)! project, "Effective Participation," will take place in Armenesk - Yerevan, from September 1st to 8th, 2021. Detailed information can be found in the Info Pack.
Training Objectives:
We will train 15 youth workers and education sector stakeholders on how to strengthen participation among young people; especially young people who are inactive at the local level, including youth from less stimulating or marginalized backgrounds.
Within the participating organizations, we will exchange knowledge on new forms of youth participation and active citizenship, including so-called digital participation.
We will provide youth workers and representatives of youth organizations with tools and methods suitable for implementing activities that develop youth participation and active citizenship.
Among the participating organizations, we will share proven methods, tools, training materials, and examples of good practice in strengthening youth participation and active citizenship.
We will support youth workers and representatives of youth organizations in integrating the principles of youth participation into their regular activities, including their regular activities with young people.
Participant Profile
You are a youth worker / education sector professional working with young people / youth leader in direct contact with young people
You have the opportunity to implement and disseminate acquired competencies in your work/activities with youth
You have basic knowledge of youth participation
You have basic knowledge of the roles and position of a youth worker
You are determined to implement acquired competencies in your community
You know the situation of young people in your community = you know what problems young people face and what their needs are (general overview)
You have fluent English and are not afraid to use it.

Subsequently, we will ask you to:
- fill out the application form
- propose a travel plan
and we will arrange a date for a personal / online meeting to discuss your participation in more detail.
