On October 23, 2019, participants of the youth exchange Active citizenship through sports prepared a two-hour program in the gym for 9th-grade students of the evangelical primary school. Read what they managed to achieve: "We introduced them to the Erasmus+ program, explained concepts such as active citizenship, the European Union, and similar. We also shared our experiences and adventures gained through this program and told them about the opportunities available to them as young people. First, we warmed up together and played a game of "flags." Initially, the participants found it a bit challenging, but after a while, they started thinking strategically and cooperating with their team. Since they really enjoyed the game, we changed the program and instead of another game (handball), we repeated this one, but in a more tactical and active way. Afterward, we asked them for their observations and reflections, trying to encourage their strategic thinking. They also had to consider what the papers on the ground represented and their roles. We had a short discussion about this. In conclusion, we thanked them and handed out candies, and a group photo was taken. Thanks to this activity, we were filled with amazing energy, which I hope also accompanied our participants. When asked if they enjoyed it and learned something new, they responded very positively and with joy, which pleased us greatly."
