The Advanced Planning Visit (APV) will take place from June 5th to June 7th.
The youth exchange will take place from July 17th to July 25th in Botassart, Belgium.
Main objective: The main objective is for young participants to gain a deep understanding of democratic processes and co-decision-making opportunities through a simulation game.
Project objectives:
to help young people understand democratic processes through a practical simulation game called Youthcracy,
to encourage participants to actively engage in politics – to vote, run for office, observe, react, and negotiate,
to develop intercultural exchange among young people from seven European countries,
to strengthen teamwork, communication, leadership, critical thinking, and social skills,
to give participants direct experience with political institutions and decision-making,
to foster a stronger sense of European identity and cooperation,
to combine learning with creative and leisure activities, such as sports, games, and discussions with politicians.
Working language: English.
Number of participants: 6 participants + 1 youth leader
Ideal participant profile:
aged 15 – 19
interested in democracy, politics, and intercultural exchange
open and respectful towards others
motivated to actively participate in activities and discussions
willing to improve teamwork, leadership, and communication skills
able to communicate in English
interested in meeting young people from various European countries
curious about European topics and social issues
creative, cooperative, and enthusiastic about group work

Important information:
Accommodation, meals, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.
Participation fee: 100 euros
Travel cost limits: 309 euros
Extremely important: Keep all travel documents and tickets for reimbursement – participants must keep travel documents to and from the venue and submit them / send them to the project organizer according to their instructions.
Insurance: Travel insurance is not covered or reimbursed by the organizers. Each participant is obliged to arrange health insurance valid in Belgium.
Purchase tickets only after written confirmation from the organizers.
All participants must attend all meetings and subsequent dissemination activities.
