Whisper of the Leaves

The training will take place on April 11th and 18th, 2025 in Klaffer am Hochficht, Austria.

Main objective: To explore various aspects of one's culture — myths, legends, music, food, and customs — in an interactive, collaborative environment.

Project objectives:

1. Building Resilience and Empowerment: Equip youth workers with tools for building resilience, emotional intelligence, and self-empowerment. Provide frameworks for addressing the root causes of mental health issues and develop strategies for effectively supporting young people.

2. Fostering Self-Reflection and Identity Exploration: Enable a deeper understanding of personal strengths and areas for growth through creative exercises and introspection. Utilize storytelling and artistic methods as tools for resilience and personal empowerment.

3. Understanding the Hero's Journey: Introduce the Hero's Journey as a powerful model for personal transformation and growth. Enable participants to guide young people on their own path of self-discovery and overcoming challenges.

4. Building Connection with Nature: Highlight the scientifically proven benefits of nature-based practices for mental well-being, such as mindfulness, self-awareness, and stress reduction. Inspire participants to integrate nature-based ecological activities into their work to promote sustainability alongside well-being.

5. Strengthening European cooperation.

Working language: English.

Number of participants: 3 per country, 24 in total.

Ideal participant profile: Aged 18+ with good communication skills in English.

Important information:

Accommodation, meals, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.

Travel cost limits: reimbursed up to €275 directly by the organizer (no money passes through YYSK).
Each participant is individually responsible for planning and arranging their travel.

Extremely important: Keep all travel documents and tickets for reimbursement – the participant must retain travel documents to and from the venue and submit them / send them to the project organizer according to their instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is NOT covered by the organizers or reimbursed. Each participant is obliged to arrange health insurance valid in Austria.

• Purchase tickets only after written confirmation from the organizers.

• All participants must attend all meetings and subsequent dissemination activities.
