The training will take place from November 10th to 18th in Bansko, Bulgaria.
Main Goal: The project will address the growing challenges of misinformation, disinformation, hoaxes, and conspiracy theories by developing digital media literacy and critical thinking through educational board games. By transforming complex topics into playful and collaborative learning, the project will equip young people and educators with the skills to question sources, detect manipulation, and responsibly navigate tomorrow's information environment. Co-creating and playing board games will make the fight against false information engaging, creative, and effective, helping participants become more resilient, informed, and active digital citizens.
Project Objectives:
Strengthen media and digital literacy – equip young people and educators with the skills to critically analyze, evaluate, and use digital information. Combat misinformation and disinformation – raise awareness of hoaxes, conspiracy theories, and manipulative techniques, and build resilience against them. Foster critical thinking and active citizenship – encourage questioning, fact-checking, and responsible participation in a democratic society. Use board games as educational tools – develop and test innovative interactive board games that make learning about information disorders engaging and accessible. Promote international cooperation and inclusion – connect participants from different countries and backgrounds to exchange perspectives, co-create solutions, and foster intercultural dialogue.

Ideal Participant Profile:
Currently works regularly with young people.
A combination of experienced and new youth workers interested in digital literacy and media education.
Socially engaged and motivated individuals.
Open to innovative and creative learning methods.
Ready to actively participate in all phases of the project.
Committed to implementing at least one follow-up activity.
Willing to contribute to the dissemination of results.
Able to communicate effectively in English.
Participants must be over 18 years old and not currently on ESC voluntary service.
Important Information:
Accommodation, meals, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.
Travel Cost Limits: 309 €
Extremely Important: Keep all travel documents and tickets for reimbursement – the participant must keep travel documents to and from the venue and submit them / send them to the project organizer according to their instructions.
Insurance: Travel insurance is NOT covered by the organizers or reimbursed. Each participant is obliged to arrange health insurance valid in Bulgaria.
Purchase tickets only after written confirmation from the organizers.
All participants must attend all meetings and subsequent dissemination activities.
