YE Connecting Cultures and Future

Project organizer: Agrupamento de Escolas de Aguiar da Beira

The youth exchange will take place from June 26 to July 2 in Aguiar da Beira, Portugal.

Main objective: To develop innovative intervention activities that respond to the real needs and challenges of young people and help them build a happier and more successful future on a personal, social, and professional level. To contribute to improving the quality of their lives and mental health in the medium and long term.

Project goals:

  • Promote physical and mental well-being through engaging outdoor and sports experiences.

  • Foster collaboration and relationship building through team activities.

  • Encourage intercultural understanding through cultural exchange and group presentations.

  • Empower young people by enhancing their social skills, self-confidence, and community involvement.

Working language: English.

Number of participants: 5+1

Ideal participant profile:

  • Aged 13 to 18 (team leader 18+)

  • Basic knowledge of English to participate in discussions and activities

Important information:

Accommodation, meals, materials, and travel costs (up to the maximum allowed amount) are covered.

Travel cost limits: 360 €

Extremely important: Keep all travel documents and tickets for reimbursement – the participant must keep the travel document to and from the venue and hand it over / send it to the project organizer according to their instructions.

Insurance: Travel insurance is not covered or reimbursed by the organizers. Each participant is obliged to arrange health insurance valid in Portugal.

  • Purchase tickets only after written confirmation from the organizers.

  • All participants must attend all meetings and subsequent dissemination activities.
