The youth exchange will take place from 25 August to 1 September 2019 in the historic village of Pákozd, Hungary.
The main goal of the youth exchange will be to show young people the possibilities of using sports for education. The project will support initiative among young leaders and show ways how young people can actively get involved in their community.
The entire exchange will be dynamic and diverse, utilizing non-formal education combined with sports and games. As a participant, you will experience a wide range of activities, games, intercultural evenings, meet new people, do a bit of running, and perhaps play football or volleyball.
The project will focus on:
increasing awareness of European values,
active citizenship in Slovakia and Europe,
tolerance, mutual respect, and acceptance of the diversity of different cultures and ethnic groups.
Working language: English.
Participating countries: Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Italy, and Portugal.
Number of participants: 26
Who is an ideal project participant?
A young person with an interest in the project topic,
a person aged 16 - 26,
a participant with no or little experience with Erasmus+ projects,
a person motivated and able to actively participate in the entire project,
a person capable of actively communicating in English.
Requirements for the group:
Slovakia will be represented at the project by a group of 6 young people (including 1 youth leader).
The task of the group will mainly be to actively participate in the project program in an effort to meet its goals. A secondary task will be to present Slovakia and its culture in an interactive form during the "Inter-cultural evening".
Important info:
Accommodation, meals, and the program during the entire project are fully covered according to the Erasmus+ program rules by the project organizer.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed to the participant up to a limit of 180 €.
Each participant is individually responsible for planning and carrying out their travel. Extremely important: The participant is obliged to keep travel documents TO and FROM the destination and submit/send them to the project organizer according to their instructions.
Insurance: Travel insurance IS NOT covered for participants nor subsequently reimbursed. Each participant is obliged to secure health insurance that is valid in Hungary.
